Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Eugene!
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney today, welcome! I’m so excited that you are planning a 2026 Walt Disney World visit. Spring is one of my favorite times to visit. I think the reason for that is
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, it’s truly something. The combination of the outdoor kitchen, vibrant colors, and topiaries is all breathtaking. Stay tuned for official festival dates, but based on this year's dates, your 2026 trip should fall right in the middle of the festival.
Eugene, the cost of the dining plan varies a bit year after year. Many other factors contribute to that total price. Those factors include your length of stay, the number of adults and children in your party, and which dining plan you select. There are two incredible plans to choose from! My family has done both, and it’s hard to say which one is our favorite. We usually make our selection based on our overall plans for our visits. Aside from summer visits, we go with the
Disney Quick-Service Dining plan. Since the weather is a smidge cooler during these visits, we are more “on-the-go,” so we are fine with those Quick-Service style meals.
In the summer, we lean towards those longer style meals to escape the heat for a bit and go with the
Disney Dining Plan. Plus, my little ones love anytime they can dine with Characters. It’s a win-win! We as parents get to wind down a bit with a relaxing and air-conditioned meal, while our little ones get to eat and also feel like they never left the magic of Disney. Even if it is just to eat.
My fellow panelist,
Nimmy, broke down the cost of the dining plan not too long ago. Keep in mind all of the factors I’ve previously mentioned. The best way to figure out your total cost is by
calling the Walt Disney World Resort. If you’ve already booked everything but the dining plan, a Cast Member will be more than happy to compare the cost with and without a dining plan for you! I’m a numbers girl, so I like to hear and compare the two options. Plus, if traveling with little Mouseketeers (ages 3 to 9), those little ones may qualify for a
FREE Dining Plan when you purchase a Walt Disney Travel Company package! This may change your estimated overall cost, and hopefully for the better!
Eugene, I hope this helps give you a general idea of the cost of a
dining plan. As you continue to debate this delicious addition, please let us know if there’s anything else we can help with. Any of us here at planDisney will be more than eager to share our favorite dining locations, too.
Enjoy,
Shantel
