Ahoy Tara!
Thanks for sailing by with another great question for us today. I'm happy to help. I'm thrilled to hear about your family's upcoming land and sea adventure. My family combined a visit to
Walt Disney World Resort with a
Disney Wish sailing earlier this year and it was the perfect combination of magic, adventure and relaxation. Let's dive in and make sure your family is ready for all the fun.
You are correct that MagicBand+ purchased for use at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort can also be used as a
DisneyBand+ for hands-free boarding, shopping, and access to your stateroom aboard select Disney Cruise Line ships. At this time the technology is available on Disney Wish, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Magic and is soon to be unveiled on
Disney Dream later this month. We sailed just before DisneyBand+ was rolled out on Disney Wish, but I'm really looking forward to using the technology on our next itinerary.
Once your children are registered for Youth Activities in
Disney's Oceaneer Club, you'll be glad to know that they can also use their MagicBand+ for access without the need for an additional wristband. You'll want to be sure to charge everyone's bands while you're all being gently rocked to sleep by the ocean waves each night, but temporary bands can be issued in the event your children's bands run out of battery.
While your kids are enjoying secured programming take advantage of the adult-exclusive experiences onboard like a soothing service at Senses Spa, a dip in the
Quiet Cove Pool, or an enchanting beverage at
Nightingale's. My husband and I enjoyed a spectacular meal at
Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement one evening while our kids designed their own attractions in the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab and trained like the Avengers at Marvel Super Hero Academy. Disney Cruise Line truly offers something special for every age!
I hope this was helpful Tara. If we can answer any additional questions as you prepare for your sailing please come back and let us know.
Bon voyage,
Amy
