We've booked the 1st seating at the Castle for breakfast and MK park is closed at our ADR time . . . how do we get into the park, and do the busses start early enough to get us there from All Stars Sports? Trip will be Oct 2008...Thanks for your input!

There are often seatings for character meals scheduled at times before the parks open.

You should arrive at the Magic Kingdom gates about 15-20 before your reservation time. At one end of the entrance turnstiles there will be a special line with a sign that says something like "character breakfast entrance." If you don't see it right away, just ask any cast member. There will be someone with a clipboard there who will ask you your name to make sure you really do have a reservation. You probably won't need it, but try to have your confirmation number with you as well. Once they see that you're on the list -- kinda like you're a VIP at an exclusive club :-) -- then you'll be able to scan your admission ticket and enter the park. Then just walk up to the castle. The restaurant host/hostess podium is on the right.

Also, the walk up to the Castle first thing in the morning is a great time to sneak in a few photos of the family. This is one of the only opportunities you'll have to take a picture of your group in front of the castle with no one else in the background.

The Disney bus transportation system does begin running well before park opening time to accommodate guests with early character breakfasts. I have done this myself several times with no problems. I would, however, confirm the transportation specifics with the Guest Services desk at your hotel the night before your character meal. They will be able to tell you exactly when you should be at the bus stop. If you're uncomfortable with the timing of the buses, you could always take a taxi one-way to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. The fare for this should be less than $20.00.
