Hi Sandy!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My sons will tell you they had a swashbuckling good time when they set sail on Disney’s Pirate Adventure Cruise. I think they enjoyed having a little independence from mom and dad and going on their own adventure. The cruise lasts approximately two hours, though we landlubber did stay to watch the pirates set sail, so our time without the children was a little. My husband and I chose to visit the Magic Kingdom for some shopping and a quick snack, but I have a few other suggestions as well.
Consider a relaxing visit to
Senses - A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Relax and enjoy couples massage. What about a romantic
walk together around the Seven Seas Lagoon? Enjoy a beautiful walk between Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The walk is approximately 1 mile long each way and showcases lovely views of Magic Kingdom across the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon. While I don’t encourage following the kiddos around on their cruise, you can enjoy a cruise of your own by
renting watercraft from the Marina at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You will find Pontoon boats, Montauk boats and Sea Raycers available for rent from the marina. Though don’t expect to search for your own buried treasure!
I hope one of these ideas sounds appealing to you, but most of all I hope you enjoy your time together as a couple. Please let me know if there are any other questions we can help you with as you plan your exciting vacation. It sounds like you are off to a good start!
Have a Disney Day!
- Kate
