Hey there, Cindy!
We're thrilled to welcome you to planDisney today and even more excited to hear you've joined the
Annual Passholder family! As a fellow Passholder, I'm confident you are set to enjoy a magical year ahead. In the words of Captain Li Shang from
Disney's Mulan, "Let's get down to business" (to verify your residency).
You'll be glad to know that there is a
digital residency verification option for Florida residents. This is typically available during the checkout process when purchasing online (fill out the “Your Florida Resident Information” form upon check-out) or via the My Disney Experience app (verify during the “Customize Your Tickets” step). If you missed this step during your checkout or didn't have the required documents available, you'll need to complete the verification in person.
But not to worry, Cindy! You can still get this accomplished "swift as the coursing river" before entering the parks. Stop by the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs before your first park day and bring along your valid Florida driver’s license (with Florida address), valid Florida state-issued ID card (with a Florida address), or valid Florida-based military ID. If you don't have one of these items, bring one of the below (proving a Florida address and dated within the past 2 months), as well as a picture ID:
- Current mortgage statement
- Current homeowner’s insurance policy or bill
- Current automobile registration, insurance policy, or bill
- Current utility bill (power/phone/cable/water)
- Mail from financial institutions, including checking, savings, or investment account statements
- Mail from federal, state, county, or city government agencies
Cast Members can quickly complete the review process to make an official Passholder out of you, then send you on your way to grab dinner at
The Edison (don't miss their Electri-Fries) or pick up cookies or a peanut butter cold brew from Gideon's Bakehouse (a stop there is a guaranteed sugar rush with all the force of a great typhoon). Just make note of the Ticket Center operating hours:
Sunday to Thursday from 10 am to 11 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 11:30 pm. If you aren't able to visit within these hours before your first park day, just head to the ticket window at the main entrance of your first park with the appropriate items on hand.
Cindy, I hope I've made this process less mysterious than the dark side of the moon. If you still have additional questions, feel free to reach out again or use the
chat feature in the My Disney Experience app for further assistance.
Wishing you a magical time in the parks!
Amy
