We went WDW in June & we can't wait to go back. Thinkin Xmas day to the 1st. How are the parks? Is it 2 early to plan for December? Are there normally specials at this time? I want to wait until June to book but afraid nothing affordable will be availa

    Tanisha,

Walt Disney World during the Christmas to New Year's time frame takes an already magical place and really amps it up with all the wonderful decor, spirit, and pageantry of the holiday season!

Now while it is really great to be able to take in the seasonal spirit, the dates that you speak of are absolutely the most crowded of the entire year. The parks are all quite full, and on select days the Magic Kingdom can actually reach full capacity and have to close it's gates to new guests.

Now I don't want to scare you off. It is crowded because it is such a great time to visit. But you have to be prepared for crowds, even larger ones than what you saw in June. Also, because it is so popular, you have to know that specials and discounts are rarely, if ever, offered for this time frame.

So no, it is not to early to plan for December. I would start right away. And while I would not discourage you from going during the dates you list, if you can move to early December instead, you can get the same wonderful holiday spirit and noticeably lighter crowds and greater discount packages.

    Have a magical vacation!
