Hi there Karen!
I know you must be so excited to be planning a second Walt Disney World vacation for 2015! This is a great question. As a mom of four children including 9-year-old twin boys, I can certainly understand your desire to plan a magical vacation, while staying on a budget.
Our resort choice and dining selections are the two main factors impacted by our budget each trip. Consider booking a Standard Room at either a Value or Moderate Resort. Follow this link to view the
Special Offers that are currently available. Be sure to check the site periodically to see if a room discount becomes available for your specific dates of travel.
In regards to dining, I recommend bringing easy breakfast items from home that you can eat in your room each morning. My family likes to bring bottles of water and drinks to keep in our mini refrigerator. Some of our favorite dining locations that are fun for the children, but also economical include: Be Our Guest Restaurant (Quick-Service lunch), T-REX at the Downtown Disney area and Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort. I always carry a backpack full of snacks, sunscreen and other park touring essentials into the theme parks. If your twins got tired from all of the walking, I recommend bringing strollers from home in order to avoid the cost of a rental.
I hope that these suggestions have been helpful. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions as your vacation approaches. Best wishes for a magical trip, Karen!
Happy Planning,
Jodie
