We went to the Royal Princess Promenad @ Grand Floridian/Disney World a couple years ago. I don't remember how I found out about it, online i'm sure. I was wondering if there are more of these free/cheap fun things to do at other resorts

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cynthia! There’s so much to explore during a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort that does not even involve visiting any of the theme parks. I have a few ideas for you!

Being a Disney Resort hotel guest has its benefits. You get to enjoy lots of recreational activities during your stay that are complimentary! I really enjoy Movies Under the Stars. It’s a great opportunity to snuggle up with your Mouseketeers, poolside! All Disney Resort hotels will show a Disney movie at night, near the pool, if not every night, several nights a week. Cast Members at the Front Desk will give you the schedule when you check in.

Nightly Campfires are held at several resorts. They’re a lot of fun! My girls love Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. You can even pick up a s’mores package for just a few dollars and roast your own marshmallows.

My friends and fellow panelists Ashley P. and Lindsey N. have some awesome ideas, too. They really love the “Hidden Mickey” scavenger hunts offered at a few Disney Resort hotels

Cynthia, I hope I’ve given you a few ideas for some fun things to do during your next visit. Feel free to come back to see us if you have any more questions. It’s our pleasure to help you with the details of your next magical visit!
