We went on a 4-night cruise last year and noticed the dinner attire wasn't as dressy as the recommendations, men in shorts and t-shirts. We are planning a 7-night cruise next year, and I'm wondering how enforced the jacket requirement is for men?

    Hi Tammy!

How fantastic that you loved your first Disney cruise and are now planning a longer one!  In my experience, I have found that on the shorter cruises, less people dress up for the optional formal nights. However, on a seven night cruise, I have seen everything from slack and tops to ball gowns on women and khakis and polo shirts to tuxedos on men. I say, whatever your family is comfortable wearing is the way to go since its YOUR vacation.

Please know that if you choose to dine at Palo or Remy, there is a stricter dress code that is enforced. Remy is the only restaurant where a jacket is required at all times. One of my favorite things on a seven night cruise is the opportunity to go to Palo for brunch, I highly recommend it!

I hope this helps with your planning.  Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more cruise planning questions.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
