Hi we went to Disneyworld in Mid-May of last year. The only issue was that my young children were frightened by the love bugs. We are planning on going again this fall. When is the best time to go to avoid them, mid-sept, late-sept, early oct, mid-oct?

    Hi John,

I also have encountered these "love bugs" on one of my vacations to Walt Disney World.  I was staying at the Pop Century Resort and I will never forget that trip...so I can relate to how your children must feel.  I experienced them in June and knew nothing about them until I spoke to a cast member at the Polynesian Resort who explained to me what a pain they are when they get into virtually everything, but that they are really harmless, just a nuisance.  She also told me that they normally come around mid-may to the end of June and when they arrive, they are normally there for almost a month.  So, if what she said is true then your plans for September or October are both good dates to go, as I don't think you will experience this again unless you go during the months of May or June.  Have a great love bug free trip!

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
