Hello Alyssa,
Oh my goodness, I can understand why you would want to get these photos back. Disneyland is such a romantic place for an engagement and I’m sure those photographs were precious to you all!
Unfortunately, it is my understanding that Disneyland only stores
PhotoPass images for 60 days, though you can purchase a one-time extension of 15 days. However, as you are more than a year past that timeframe, I sadly think it is very unlikely that your images are still available. The official
PhotoPass expiration policy states that
“Disney does not offer options for permanent storing of photos or other digital content. Expired photos and other digital content will no longer be available.” You can always try to
call website support just in case they have some magic up their sleeves, but I would be prepared that your images are not retrievable.
While I know it isn’t the same, what about recreating the photo? As a wedding or anniversary gift, you could purchase them
Disneyland Tickets and they could return to the location of their engagement for a photo reshoot! I’m sure the PhotoPass Photographer would play along, or they could skip recreating the lost photos and just enjoy a photoshoot of them at the magical location of their engagement. Perhaps a
Disney Gift Card as well so they can have a romantic dinner, or purchase a photo frame for their special photo.
I’m sorry this certainly wasn’t what you were hoping to hear, but maybe this is the perfect reason for a return visit to the
Disneyland Resort!Sending pixie dust for the perfect anniversary photo!
