Welcome new moms/dad! I am getting conflicting info about something. Just booked stay at WL for Dec 09. Can you see Wishes from some of the balconies at this resort or are the trees now in the way? Thanks!

    Hi Tracy,

I think the reason you might be getting conflicting information on your question is because the answer is maybe. We have stayed at Wilderness Lodge many times, as it is our Vacation Club property, and sometimes we can see part of the fireworks and sometimes we can't see any. Due to all the beautiful trees surrounding the resort, the view is blocked from the property, however in some select corner balconies or areas of the property surrounding the resort  you can occassionally see a portion of Wishes. I have yet to find any room or balcony where the view is unobstructed and the show is completely visible. There is a slightly better view form the Wilderness Lodge boat dock. If you are looking to see the entire show and avoid the Magic Kingdom crowds, my suggestion would be to take a trip over to the Grand Floridian or Polynesian resort and watch from the beach there. It is a beautiful angle, less crowded and a great opportunity to enjoy the sights at other neighboring resorts. Hope you have a magical trip!
