I will be on a weeks' vacation in WDW with my children and we will hit the parks beginning 29th Nov. I can't decide whether to visit MK on Sat or Sun. Which is the worst day for MK duirng the Thansgiving weekend in terms of crowd level?

Since there are so many different factors that can affect crowd levels, I typically use sites like www.touringplans.com or www.tourguidemike.com* to provide some guidance and insight.

In case there are others with a similar question about this weekend, I'll include Friday into the equation.  According to Touring Plans, Friday and Saturday will be much more crowded than Sunday.  On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most crowded, Friday and Saturday are rated as "7" and Sunday is rated a "4."  Based on this, my own experience, and the fact that there is a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) on Sunday, I am confident that the Magic Kingdom will have much lower crowds on the Sunday.   Please keep in mind, however, that on Sunday you will only be able to stay in the Magic Kingdom until 7 pm, since that is when the MVMCP begins. This also means that you will not be able to experience the evening parade, nor the evening fireworks within the parks (you could watch them from farther away at the beach at the Polynesian Resort -- a different but very nice experience).  Personally, I think it is OK to sacrifice the evening entertainment for lighter crowds during the day, especially if I'm there with younger kids who need to sleep earlier anyway -- but it isn't an acceptable tradeoff for everyone.

If you want to experience the Magic Kingdom for the full day, then the best choice appears to be Saturday, and Friday looks to be the third best option.

    Hope that helps.
