6 more weeks until our first family trip to Disney! Any advice or tips as I start thinking about packing?

Hi, Sara!  I love first trips to Walt Disney World!  It's so exciting!

In six weeks, it's still going to be hot, hot, hot in Orlando, so don't pull out those favorite fall sweaters for this trip.  I do, however, pack a light sweater for inside the restaurants in the evening.  It can be chilly.

Bring rain ponchos for the afternoon thunder storms, and pack an extra pair of shoes, so you can alternate in case one pair needs to dry out.

I love zip top bags!  I bring a few empties with me to pack wet bathing suits, so the kids can swim up until the time we leave for the airport.  I also pack a complete outfit for each kid in a bag, and the dirty clothes go back into the bag at bedtime.  This makes packing for home super easy!

If you're bringing fairly new shoes, bring band-aids, and make sure you have sunscreen.  I also bring some Ibuprofen for adults and children, and because I have kids with allergies, some Benadryl.

If you already have your passes, make a photo copy of the backs of them.  This helps tremendously if the actual ticket gets lost.  You might also want to bring or plan to buy lanyards to keep those tickets safe at the parks.

    Have an amazing time!
