Ahoy, Judy!
You are setting sail on one of my bucket list vacations especially now that the Panama Canal has been expanded, and the Disney Wonder was reimagined last fall! I literally watched in "Wonder" when the ship went through the new locks for the very first time! Did you know it was the first passenger vessel to do so? If you missed the article about it on the
Disney Parks Blog, be sure to go back to check it out!
I think ending your 14-night sailing with a relaxing dinner at Palo is a fabulous idea, and the views at sunset are stunning from Deck 10! Palo offers my favorite indulgence aboard, the Chocolate Soufflé so what a sweet ending to your amazing cruise. On the past Panama Canal sailings, the Walt Disney Theatre has presented
Disney Dream-An Enchanted Classic on the final night. Since schedules can change at anytime, you'll want to double check this in your first cruise newsletter that will be given to you upon check-in at the cruise terminal (an overview of the nightly entertainment will be listed). All the shows run about 50 minutes in length so if you go to the 6:15 show, you'll be a few minutes late to your 7:00 p.m. Palo reservation. You could move the reservation to 7:30 so you could see the early show before heading up to Palo.
Judy, something else important to know is that Palo does hold some reservations back for embarkation day. You could always make a change to your plan if you see that there is something you want to do listed in the cruise newsletter. I had to do this on a sailing recently, and it took less than 10 minutes to make the adjustment. Directions to make changes to a Palo reservation will be listed on the front page of the first newsletter.
