Which week is better for price and crowds? 8/18-8/26 OR 8/25-9/1 Any specials for either? Also- which restaurants are a must!! Budget friendly :)

    Hi Christy,

Great question! This is when my family typically likes to head to the Walt Disney World Resort because it is a great way to end our summer vacation!

You will find the crowds lower the first time period only because the United States will celebrate Labor Day on September 1. Some guests will come in for the three day weekend.

You will start seeing specials for this time period closer to June/July. I would definitely follow Disney on their social media site and the Disney Parks Blog.

As for must restaurants, this is hard for so many reasons. Often guests have differences of what they like. For example, many guests love Chef Mickey's and my family would skip it. If we were doing a character meal, we would head to Tusker House for breakfast or 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

We think the food is okay at Sci-Fi Theater but love 50's Prime Time Cafe and really there is not much difference. I recommend you look at restaurants that serve food you like and try it. Some restaurants which we will always visit are Whispering Canyon Cafe, Teppan Edo, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Cape May Cafe, Via Napoli, La Hacienda de San Angel, California Grill, the Wave and California Grill.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
