Hello William! Thank you for stopping by planDisney!
Staying at any
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is a fantastic choice. Not only are you pixie-dusted with
magical benefits like
Early Theme Park Entry, and
complimentary (and often exciting!) transportation options, staying in a Disney Deluxe Resort also offers you
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on certain days in certain Parks, and the theming of these Resorts is just incredible. I was lucky enough to spend my last Walt Disney World Resort vacation at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and was completely blown away by every detail that made me feel like I was right on the African Savanna.
While there are a few room options that include bunk beds at the Walt Disney World Resort, unfortunately, Animal Kingdom Lodge is no longer one of them. During the latest renovation, the Guest rooms had a complete makeover, from the carpeting being removed to the glass doors being added to the showers. Sadly for you and your party, the renovation also saw a removal of the bunk beds. Now, Standard Rooms either include one King-sized bed or two Queen-sized beds.
While this may not be what you were hoping to hear, I promise you will not be disappointed in the Resort! Between the fantastic dining options like
Boma - Flavors of Africa and the recently reopened
Jiko - The Cooking Place, you and your family will certainly not go hungry! And if animals are what you're after, you'll find them at every turn! In fact, my room, which wasn't even a "Savanna View" had a flock of flamingos right below my balcony!
If bunk beds are a deal-breaker, I suggest taking a look at
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. These cabins sleep up to six adults comfortably, with one of the sleeping arrangements being
bunk beds!
I hope you and your party find everything you're looking for in a Disney Resort and that you enjoy your magical vacation!
