Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Brandi! Just a couple more sleeps until Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend!
Spectating is quite the sport when it comes to runDisney, and the runDisney website is the best place to get information. Visit the page for the
Spectator Viewpoint Locations, and don't forget to sign up for live, online Runner Tracking. I did speak with a super helpful runDisney Cast Member, and I'd be happy to share some of the information I gathered.
Bus transportation from Walt Disney World Resorts (including the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotels) will run on Sunday from 3:00 AM until 5:00 AM. There will be road closures after this time due to the race, but bus transportation will resume again at 7:00 AM. Minnie Van Service typically starts at 6:30 AM, but they may have difficulty that morning with the road closures. For spectators, I'd recommend being on the bus to Epcot before 5:00 AM. From there you can follow the Cast Members' instructions to the Imagine Parking Lot where the finish line is, or hop on the monorail which starts running at 5:00 AM to the TTC (mile 3.8). Here, you can also transfer to the resort monorail, and get off at either Disney's Grand Floridian Resort (mile 7.2) or Disney's Polynesian Village Resort (mile 7.7). These areas won't be quite as crowded as the finish line and may be more comfortable with a stroller. Spectators can also take the monorail to Magic Kingdom Park (mile 5.1), but this area will definitely be more congested.
Don't forget to pack your tutu or Sparkle Skirt, Brandi! You'll also want to save some room in your luggage for all the fun
2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend Merchandise that will be at the Expo!
