What is the weather like in August in FL? We are planning on coming in August and I was wondering whether I needed to move our dates closer or further out because of hot weather.

Hi, Edwin!   It's going to be easy to give you a weather forecast for an August trip - hazy, hot and humid!  The day time temperatures will be in the mid 90s, and it won't cool off too much in the evening - to the mid  70s.  You'll also encounter very high humidity at that time of year.  Almost every afternoon without fail, it thunderstorm for a few minutes - nothing that would spoil your vacation, or your day - but the storm does very little to cool things off.

The temperatures don't really start to cool down until later in September, into October.  It stays pretty summery throughout much of September.

If you are trying to avoid hot weather, I think I would plan to come between mid-October and mid-February.  It is usually noticeably cooler during those months.
