Hi Ellen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My youngest is now 7, but she had her first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort at only 4 months old. On that visit, we did a combination of babywearing and baby riding in the stroller, depending on the needs of the moment. One of the things that makes a Walt Disney World Vacation so convenient with a family is that there are
so many attractions without height restrictions. This means the entire family, from little ones to grandparents can enjoy the attractions together!
You are not required to wear your baby to board attractions. While on some rides this may work well for both you and baby, on other attractions, Cast Members may require you to
not wear your baby. Rest assured that Cast Members' priority is always Guest safety. Particularly on attractions that have a lap bar that comes down, Cast Members may direct you to remove the baby from the wrap or carrier. I would plan on being flexible, and if you are concerned, or baby is at a point where you would not want to remove them from the baby carrier, I would ask the first Cast Member at the entrance to an attraction what the policy is for that specific attraction.
We packed our patience along with our diaper bag, and we had a perfectly enjoyable visit with our little one. For attractions that the little one cannot ride, know that you can use the
Rider Switch feature so that all the adults can experience the more thrilling attractions. And if you and baby need a little break from the heat, a convenient place to change a diaper, or privacy to nurse or eat, Disney’s
Baby Care Centers can be found in all four theme parks.
Wishing you and baby a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
