WDW with our 5 year old in one week! 4 days with 2 full days at MK. Can we do AK in about 3 hours (flight lands at 10:45am, taking ME to POP) on first day to reserve a whole day for EP, or should we reverse that? Would not stay at EP past 7pm anyway.

How exciting you will be visiting Walt Disney World in just one week, Clare!  This is a great question! I honestly like to plan for approximately five to six hours to fully experience Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Although I love Epcot and would recommend that for a full day if your little one was older, I would personally plan to visit Epcot on your day of arrival. My four children ranging between the ages of seven and fourteen actually prefer Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. We also love to visit DIsney's Animal Kingdom Park first thing in the morning and experience Kilimanjaro Safaris when the animals are most active. I would also highly recommend experiencing Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo - The Musical, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, DINOSAUR, and The Boneyard. Epcot is traditionally open later than Disney's Animal Kingdom Park so you may find that you are able to still spend several hours exploring on your day of arrival. I hope this information helps in making your decision! Please don't hesitate to write back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Clare!
    Happy Planning,
