Hi, Yvonne! Thanks for stopping by with your question. There are two main ways of adding a request to your Walt Disney World Resort reservation: by utilizing
Online Check-In up to 60 days before your arrival, and by
calling in at least a week before arrival to have your request added to your reservation. I have utilized both of these methods and have secured pretty great rooms in most cases. Please keep in mind that room requests cannot be guaranteed. If you keep your requests to a minimum and explain, however, why these requests are important then you may have a better chance securing your requests.
When traveling with a large group with small children, a request such as
connecting rooms could be of utmost importance. The best way to have the room assigner consider a request for connecting rooms (rooms that share a common door) or adjoining rooms (nearby, but do not share a door) is to call a Reservations Cast Member and ask for this notation to be added to your reservation. Please understand that in most resorts, there are a limited number of rooms with connecting doors.
When considering a favorite room location, many Guests have different ideas of what is important to them. You may want to check out the Room Finder section of TouringPlans.com for detailed information and pictures of the view from almost every Resort hotel room. Since giving a specific room number request to the room assigner does not really tell them why that view is important, you could use this Room Finder to find an area you prefer and use that information to guide them in your placement.
Sending lots of pixie dust your way for a practically perfect room!
