Hi! WDW 12/11-12/17 2010 w/DH, DD 11, & DS 4. Have ADR at Kona & reserved NeverLand Club for kids. I've seen pics of Kona & it does not seem to be as upscale as say California Grill. Is it still a good restaurant or should we go somewhere else?

Hi Anissa! My daughter visited the Never Land Club last month while my husband and I dined at the California Grill, and she just loved it! I think she would have gone back every night if we'd let her! Although children are welcome at the California Grill, our meal there was quite leisurely, and for that reason, we were glad we had utilized the Never Land Club that night.

The Kona Cafe is a good restaurant, but it is definitely not as upscale as the California Grill. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to bring my children there as it's quite kid-friendly and casual. If you and your husband are looking for an upscale restaurant or a gourmet dining experience while your kids are in the Never Land Club, you may want to consider one of the nearby signature restaurants instead. In addition to the California Grill at the Contemporary, you could hop the monorail from the Polynesian to head next door to the Grand Floridian and try Narcoossee's or Citricos, both of which I consider to be a finer dining experience than Kona.

Hope you have a magical vacation in December!
