We will be in WDW on Walt Disney's birthday, 12/5. Of course, we take a moment to remember him in our own little way but do the parks do anything special for Walt on his birthday?

    Hello Stacey,

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I will forever be grateful for the vision, inspirations and determination Walt Disney had to make his Dreams Come True. And while in the past, Walt Disney World does not celebrate his birthday in a big way, truly every day is a celebration to Walt Disney. In 2001, his 100th birthday was celebrated, at Disney's Hollywood Studios, with a 25-by-17 foot giant sheet cake, I wish I had been there for it. Instead, I recommend treating yourself to one of the many scrumptious Disney Cupcakes and make a birthday wish for many more happy and magical memories to be be had at Walt Disney World. And check out the Disney Parks Blog, typically they write up a nice memorabilia about him.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
