We have a WDW vacation planned for this March. We would love to try new places for lunch/dinner at MK- any places we can't miss?!? We would love suggestions other than Cinderella's Castle. We will have a 1 yr old baby with us so please keep that in mind!

Hello Amanda, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

What to do when you have a rumbly in your tumbly at the Magic Kingdom Park? Here are some of our family's favorites, from a silly old bear to a crooning lounge lizard.

    • The Crystal Palace is a fabulous buffet with hugs and laughs with Pooh and his pals from the Hundred Acre Wood. We had lunch here on our son's second birthday, and we all just loved it.
    • Be Our Guest Restaurant is a nod to Disney's classic Beauty and the Beast. Dinner is table-service but the quick-service lunch is perfect for families with little ones. The French cuisine will satisfy grown-up tastes, and if your baby is just starting out on solid foods, you can share from your plate. Be sure to explore all three amazing dining rooms!
    • Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland is your basic burgers, chicken and salads counter spot, but the highlight is in the main dining room, where galactic lounge lizard Sonny Eclipse entertains while you dine. My son has always loved to dance to his silly tunes - we've been so many times now, he even knows all the words!

There are so many others I didn't have time to mention, like Columbia Harbor House with its great view from the upstairs windows, or watching the boats launch at it's a small world while enjoying flatbreads at Pinocchio Village Haus. Check out Magic Kingdom dining options on the Disney website for even more ideas.

I hope this whets your appetite for family-friendly dining, Amanda. Wishing your family a magical Walt Disney World vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
