WDW trip 10/14 - 10/20 traveling with kids ages 14, 12, and 10. Friends are staying at POR but we're afraid the rooms will be too small to accomodate our family. Also thinking about the new Art of Animation or All-Star Music. What do you recommend?

Hi Lori!  Congratulations on booking your trip to Walt Disney World!  October is a great time to go to WDW:  the weather is cooler, the crowds are lighter, and of course, there's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!  While Disney's Port Orleans Resort--Riverside is definitely spacious and beautifully landscaped, the rooms will be too small for your party.  Although the Alligator Bayou Lodges do have occupancy for five, the additional bed is actually a Murphy-style bed geared for a child nine years old or younger.  My recommendation for your family would be Disney's Art of Animation Resort Family Suites. There is one Queen size bed in the master bedroom, one double size sleeper sofa in the other room and an Inova Tablebed (a Murphy-style bed which, when in the upright position, doubles as a table).  There is a kitchenette, with mini-fridge, sink and microwave and two bathrooms which will provide you with more than enough space and room for your party of five. Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation! -Malanie

Meet the Panelist: Malanie, New York

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
