Our WDW trip starts 12/27/23. One person was hospitalized recently & may not be able to go. What is the timeframe, before &/or after our trip, that her ticket can be used as credit to purchase a future ticket & possibly be reassigned?

    Hi Lisa! Welcome to planDisney.

Oh Boy! The countdown is on to your magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. I am so very sorry to read someone in your travel party is feeling under the weather. Let's talk about your options for us to get back to the fun of vacation planning.

The good news I have to share with you is that until a Theme Park Ticket is scanned into one of the theme parks, it can be reassigned to another person. I like to do this in the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Look under "Ticket and Passes." Locate the ticket in question, select "Reassign Ticket" and follow the prompts. Also, you can change the date of the ticket. Please note, that theme park ticket prices are date-based. You may need to pay the difference for a more expensive date. Finally, for most theme park tickets, the value of an expired ticket can be applied to the future purchase of another ticket. For more information and assistance, feel free to give the Existing Tickets Help Center a call.

Now, back to the magic. If you are visiting Magic Kingdom Park, you will be happy to know from December 27, 2023, through December 31, 2023, you can catch Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. This holiday spectacular is normally only shown during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. A sure treat for day guests! Have the best time.

    Keeping it Magical,
    Cindy
