1st WDW trip in Sept! My son will be 5 mos old & probably not able to sit good in a highchair. Thought about bring bumbo seat so we can enjoy our meals also. Do you have any other suggestions?

    Hi Leah,

My friend thinks the bumbo is the greatest thing ever! It was not around for my children, but it is a great seat.

You are probably right about your son and the high chairs as they are usually the wood ones seen in most restaurants with little support.

I know some parents use fabric covers to place over the high chairs and shopping carts to prevent germs and this might allow your son extra support in the high chair.

My real concern with the bumbo is that your reservations are for two as you do not have to have a ticket for your son. This could place you at a table with two seats and you would have no where to place the bumbo and some chairs are not wide enough to support it.

My only other thought is a forward facing baby carrier or a baby carrier with a frame that has some structure and you could place on the floor next to you. Or if you have the infant car seat, this would work as well.

You may want to give him a test drive in a high chair prior to your trip.

Wishing you a magical first trip!
