It's our 1st WDW trip! We're driving down early Aug. Our kids will be 7, 5, 3, & 9 months. So, we need to make it as inexpensive as possible. We're going to a 90 min. timeshare presentation to stay free 1 mile from Disney. Need cheap ideas for fun &am

    Hi Christy,

I love guests with first trips! These can be the beginning of magical memories at the Walt Disney World Resorts.

First, you can save some money by not purchasing the Park Hopper option on your Magic Your Way base ticket. Because you will be driving daily to the parks, you will not lose time moving the car to a new park to split your day. In addition, you can then concentrate on staying at one park and not feel obligate to go to another park in one day. Tickets are cheaper for the longer you buy them so if you think you will be back to the park in the future, you may want to purchase more days with a No Expiration option.

While you are at the park, everything except food and drink are free. To save on food and drink, you can bring snacks and drinks into the park. Also at counter service meals, the portions are large so you maybe able to split a meal as my husband and I also do. I do recommend one table service meal a day just so you can relax in some air conditioning and regroup.

You can also grab a park guide as you enter the park and see where character greetings are as well as shows, parades and fireworks.

Check our site for more tips and have a magical vacation!
