Hi Alexander,
Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney. I applaud you for considering every aspect of your vacation to help it go smoothly.
The
Guest Courtesy Policy in the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules states that jumping lines or saving places in lines is prohibited. This applies to
Disney Transportation options as well. It is best to wait for your entire party to arrive before joining the line. At this time, Disability Access Service is not applicable for transportation around Walt Disney World Resort.
I have a few suggestions for you to consider, Alexander. It is so kind of you to offer to wait in line for your family while they enjoy the fireworks, but I would love to find a way for you to enjoy the nighttime spectacular together! My first suggestion is to watch
Happily Ever After from further back on Main Street, U.S.A., closer to the
train station. Not only will you get a view of the fireworks, but you’ll also see the projections on the Main Street buildings. Then, after the fireworks end, you will be closer to the theme park exit and have a shorter walk to the bus stops. Many guests are leaving after the fireworks, so in my experience, buses are moving through frequently.
Another option is using a
Minnie Van which will pick you up at a designated stop near the buses. The Minnie Van is ordered through the Lyft app, and you can see the estimated time of arrival before ordering so you can time it to arrive after the fireworks have ended. The cost of the Minnie Van will vary based on the distance traveled to your destination. I love using a Minnie Van at the end of the day because it is a quiet ride directly back to your Disney Resort.
Instead of leaving immediately after the fireworks end, some guests choose to stay in the parks and try to ride a few more attractions. The
Hours & Events Calendar is usually released around 60 days in advance, so wait to see how long Magic Kingdom will remain open after fireworks. You could also spend that time
strolling through the shops on Main Street. If you can wait 15-20 minutes after the fireworks end, the crowd from fireworks viewing has usually dispersed and you will have an easier time exiting.
I hope I gave you some options to consider, Alexander. I hope you have a wonderful time enjoying the magic of Walt Disney World together with your family. If you have any more questions as you continue to plan, please
come back and see me at planDisney!
