DH and I will be @ WDW 6/5-6/12, staying @ WL. We have 8am brkfst reservs at Boma in AKL. What is the best way to get from our resort to AKL? Could we take the boat from the resort to MK and then get on a bus to AKL?

Yes, you could get there the way you described. But that early in the morning you may find that the boat and bus transportation may not be running frequently or early enough to get you there reliably by 8am.

What I would do in your situation is this. When you arrive to the Wilderness Lodge, sometime that first day, tell the transportation desk about your breakfast plans. They will be able to consult daily transportation operations that change right up to weeks or even days before you arrive. They can get an idea if you will have a problem getting there.

Here is the key to that plan. If they think that there will be a problem, they will do one of two things. The first is recommend you take a cab from the Wilderness Lodge to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, even making sure one is ready for you that morning. The second alternative is that they may make some special transportation arrangements on your behalf. Don't count on this, but it does happens and can be a nice surprise!

If you have to cab it, plan on around $20 for the trip.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
