Hi Kelly!
Walt Disney World Resort is a great place for a birthday celebration! Don't forget to pick up a complimentary Happy Birthday button when you arrive.
When my son was the same age as yours, Pooh and Tigger were his favorite characters. We chose to dine at
The Crystal Palace specifically so he could visit with them. We all had a wonderful time and the The Crystal Palace has since become our family's sentimental favorite restaurant -- even though my son is now 23! We try to plan a meal there every visit.
Kelly, you really can't go wrong with either choice. We have visited
1900 Park Fare many times as well and we enjoy both experiences. Since your son is a Winnie the Pooh fan, I would recommend keeping your lunch reservation at The Crystal Palace. I always enjoy the variety of fresh salads and fruit on the buffet, and there are kid-friendly classics such as macaroni and cheese available as well. The Crystal Palace also has one of the best dessert spreads in Walt Disney World. (My sweet tooth should know!)
The Crystal Palace is also located right near the
Baby Care Center in Magic Kingdom. I highly recommend taking advantage of this wonderful facility. Changing and feeding equipment is available for your use, as well as coloring pages and other quiet activities for toddlers who might need a break from the parks. You'll even find an assortment of baby essentials for sale.
Please feel free to visit the Moms Panel again if you have other questions about your upcoming trip.
Have a wonderful vacation!
Anne Marie
