    We r going to WDW on 10/20-26. My son will be turning 12 on the 21st. We r staying at the Beach Club. Could you please recommend the best low volume parks on those days and CS and table service?? I am finding all of this a bit overwhelming.

    Karen,

    I get how it can be overwhelming, but relax and enjoy the planning (you really can, I swear it!)

    Disney has not yet published the October park schedules, making it hard to plan your days to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours. Since you can't make dining reservations until 90 days out from your trip anyway, please read what I have here, and then ask me follow-up questions right at the start of July, when the October schedules should be posted.

    Here are my initial ideas;

    • October 20 - If you have time for a park, go to the Magic Kingdom. Whether you do or don't, plan a fun family dinner to start the vacation off. I like Sprit of Aloha or Whispering Canyon Cafe, for example.
    • October 21 - Hollywood Studios
    • October 22 - Magic Kingdom
    • October 23 - Epcot
    • October 24 - Animal Kingdom
    • October 25 - Magic Kingdom
    • October 26 - Hollywood Studios or Epcot, your choice
    When you write me back, let me know of some of your family's cuisine likes/dislikes, whether you have park time on the arrival or departure day, and if you have the park hopper option on your ticket.

    Talk to you soon!
