We will be at WDW from Sept 17- 24, 2011. I noticed the MNSSHP will be available then, but I was wondering if the parks will also be already decorated with Autumn/Halloween themes?

    Marla,

My family visits WDW every fall, so I have a lot of prior experience. Based on that, I can say that yes, the Magic Kingdom will have a few fall decorations in place, such as leaves on the streetlights on Main street. What is up is very attractive and enhances an already beautiful place.

However, the decorations that are there during the day are very minimal. If you really want to see full-out decorating for the season, then you'd need to attend a Halloween party. Disney pulls out all the stops then, and everywhere you look there will be seasonal decor. This makes for lots of great photo ops that you can't get during the day.

Besides that, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is just a whole lot of fun! I was hesitant to attend the first year, wondering if it was really worth the price. After going once, I can definitely say that it is! We now consider it a must-do event. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend that you try it!

    Have a great vacation!
