Hi Dawn,
A great activity for older children is the
Wild Africa Trek at Disney's Animal Kingdom. This tour takes you walking behind the scenes at the Animal Kingdom, has some adventurous rope bridge traverses, and a great meal on the African Savannah. I took my own daughters on this trip when they were 11 and I don't know who enjoyed it more, them or me.
My family also loves the
Behind the Seeds tour at the Living with the Land pavilion at Epcot. This is one of the most affordable tours at WDW and is great fun, even for non-gardeners.
We've also enjoyed several family meals at the post Victoria & Albert's restaurant at the Grand Floridian. This experience is only available to guests ages 10 and up, so you're now qualified.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
