Going to WDW Sept 14th for 8 days with hubby, 16 and 10 year old staying at POR. We are frequent visitors that just focus on the rides in the parks for our whole visit. Beside the MNSSHP, can you suggest any other activities or tours that we could do?

    Hi Dawn,

A great activity for older children is the Wild Africa Trek at Disney's Animal Kingdom. This tour takes you walking behind the scenes at the Animal Kingdom, has some adventurous rope bridge traverses, and a great meal on the African Savannah. I took my own daughters on this trip when they were 11 and I don't know who enjoyed it more, them or me.

My family also loves the Behind the Seeds tour at the Living with the Land pavilion at Epcot. This is one of the most affordable tours at WDW and is great fun, even for non-gardeners.

We've also enjoyed several family meals at the post Victoria & Albert's restaurant at the Grand Floridian. This experience is only available to guests ages 10 and up, so you're now qualified.

You may also want to check out these suggestions for off-the-beaten-path activities at Walt Disney World. They include recreation, shows, tours, and more.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
