We are going to WDW for the second time in May 2009. This time we're trying the Wilderness Lodge. I have a standard room reserved right now. Do you think the Woods View is worth the extra money? And how long is the boat ride to MK? Thanks! LOVE the panel!

A view is one of those things that have varying levels of importance to people. I personally might pay extra for a Magic Kingdom view at one of the monorail resorts or a water view at the Yacht or Beach Club; this could add some real magic to a vacation. But, to me, the difference between looking at trees versus looking at even a parking lot is not that important. Other may obviously feel differently, but I would not opt for the woods view.

The boat ride from the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom takes about 10 minutes. I've stayed at the WL many times and find the boat ride quite pleasant.
