We will be at WDW from 05-02-2010-05-05-2010. My question is this, My Father lives in Florida, can he come with us to the gate or buy the tickets in advace so we can get that discount? Does he have to be there everyday to use the tickets? Thanks ! !

Hi, Sherry!  The discounted tickets available for purchase by Florida residents are available to be used ONLY by Florida residents.  For each adult ticket purchased, your father would have to show a Florida identification card or drivers' license.  They don't usually ask for proof of residency for children, but I have been with my in-laws each year to renew their passes, and they are required to provide proof of Florida residency every time.

Additionally, while it doesn't happen frequently, there may be instances where you would be required to show identification at the turnstile.  We have seen this happen when a ticket doesn't work properly at the turnstile, and the cast member will ask to see an identification just to verify that the person using the ticket is the owner of the ticket.  If that were to happen with a Florida resident ticket and you were unable to show proof of residency, you may risk having to purchase new tickets - or at the very least, pay the difference.

I hope that helps answer your question!
