Hi Ashley! Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is absolutely my children's favorite special event at Walt Disney World Resort! We have attended it for several years and are looking forward to trick-or-treating there again this year.
We often visit from October - December, and I have personally found Magic Kingdom Park to be less crowded on days when it closes early for special events or the seasonal parties. I have heard other Guests comment that they do not want to "waste" their park ticket on a park that closes early. However, I have found it to be one of the best ways to use our tickets. We end up getting so much more accomplished on those days since the attraction wait times are usually lower as compared to the waits during the days surrounding it. On these early closure days, we always get to Magic Kingdom Park before park opening and socialize with grim, grinning ghosts until the party starts. We then head to one of the delicious restaurants located in one the Resort hotels along the monorail, such as
1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or
Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
I hope you have a Not-So-Scary vacation at Walt Disney World Resort, Ashley, and please let us know if you have any further questions!
