    We are going to WDW in Oct. We have been to WDW multiple times and always buy the Deluxe Dining Plan. This time when our dining opened I am having serious problems making reservations - why? Are reservations 'held' back until closer to the date?

    I'm excited to see that you're planning another visit to the most magical place on earth! With the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a visit during the fall is always extra special!

    Hmm...I'm sorry to hear that you've had some trouble finding the dining reservations you want. Reservations are not usually held back, so my guess is that Guests who were arriving right before you planned a lot of Table-service meals. I would encourage you to keep checking back for availability as Guests often make changes to their plans, especially right before they arrive. Also, you may want to consider looking at other comparable restaurants. For example, if you were hoping to dine at Cinderella's Royal Table, you may want to consider Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot or 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa instead for other special meals with Disney princesses. If you were trying to make reservations at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, maybe try eating at Trail's End Restaurant instead, which is located just next door and serves much of the same delicious food. Or, some other restaurants that I would also recommend are Biergarten Restaurant, Chefs de France, Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, San Angel Inn Restaurante, and Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen. These restaurants usually have more availability and my family has really enjoyed our meals there. Who knows...maybe you'll find a new favorite restaurant! I know I'm getting hungry just thinking about them!
