Going to WDW in Oct - not on meal plan. Considering upgrading to annual pass and purchasing the AP dining discount card. I know we would only need one dining discount card for our group, but would entire group (7 ppl) need to be AP holders 4 discount? TY

I assume that you are referring to the Disney Dining Experience (DDE) card that is available for purchase only by Disney annual pass holders and Florida residents. For any guests unfamiliar with this discount plan, you can click HERE, HERE, and HERE for more information.

To answer your question, only one member of your party needs to be an annual pass holder for you to purchase the DDE card. I am the only member of my family that has an annual pass. One part of the reason that I have the annual pass is so that I can purchase the DDE card. With the DDE card, I can have the 20% discount on meals for my entire party, up to 10 people. Earlier this year, I traveled to WDW with my family and my parents, a total of 7 people. I was the only annual pass holder in the group and my DDE card allowed us all to have discounted meals.

I really feel like the DDE is one of the best perks of being a pass holder.
