    We are going to WDW Oct '14. is it necessary to book our room and purchase tickets this early? Or should we wait to see if there will be any promos later in the spring? Will they honor a better rate after we have already booked our stay? (like better rate

    Hi, Terry! I would go ahead and make your reservations as soon as possible.  If promotions are released, you CAN modify your reservation to include the deal, subject to availability.  Disney will not automatically modify your reservation, you will need to call 407-W-DISNEY to check availability and make the change, if possible. There will not be a fee to update the same reservation with the promotion.  Keep an eye on the Special Offers page for one that might work for you, your travel dates, and your accommodations.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
