We are going to WDW in Oct for our first trip. We'll be traveling with our 7yr and twin 5 yr olds. We were planning on doing two days at MK but now I want to do Mickeys Halloween Party. Is it overkill doing 2.5 days at MK(2 full and 4+ at the party)?

    Hi Laura,
I've got to be honest with you, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is my favorite special event of the year! I went three times last year and had a great time. I think it really depends on what you focus on during MNSSHP. If your kids really want to trick or treat, see Mickey's "Boo To You" Halloween Parade, watch the Villians Castle Show and see Happy HalloWishes (which is a must-do on my list-this fireworks show is amazing), most of your time might be spent doing those things.

However, you should know that because this is a limited admission event, one of the best perks is that the lines for all the attractions are incredibly short and you can walk right on to most things with no waiting. You might consider doing MNSSHP early in your stay if possible so you can decide whether or not your second all-day visit to the Magic Kingdom is something you would like to do. You may find that you have been able to visit every attraction and show on your to-do list, so you could spend that extra park day enjoying something else. Then again, you might find that you need just one more time on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, it's a small world, the Carousel of Progress or the Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

Laura, I hope you enjoy your upcoming visit!

    Best (Hallo)Wishes,
    Amy B.
