Hi there- we'll be at WDW in Oct. 2012. Only 3 days at park with DS 7, DD 5. Only been to MK for 2 days once before tho DD was sick. Confused about which parks to go to. Want to do MNSSHP as well. Can you help with itinerary?thx!

    Hi Sandra!

First, don't expect - or try - to do it all! Honestly, there is so much to see and do that it can't all be done in weeks, never mind days!

For short trips, a key to success is selecting your must do items and making sure they are your top priority. For example, the Magic Kingdom is a "must do" for our family and is our top park. Each visit, each person selects the top one or two rides we'd like to do, and then we think of everything else as a bonus! With your children's ages, I would think your son would love Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and your daughter won't want to miss Winnie the Pooh. If that is the case, be sure to hit these first thing when you arrive at the parks... and then supplement with whatever other attractions catch your eye!

If you'd like to go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, be sure to either sleep in late that day, or even better, try to catch a nap in the afternoon. The party runs until midnight, so it will be a long day if you tour a park that morning too! The party is a blast, and you'll definitely want to be sure to take the parade and fireworks. The show performances are also unique to the party, so be sure to grab a schedule when you enter the park!

On your other park day(s), if you'd like to venture to another park, I'd suggest heading over to Animal Kingdom if you have animal lovers who will love to go on safari! Or, if you prefer, over to Hollywood Studios for the day. Combining a shorter morning at one of these parks and then heading over to the Halloween Party might be a good plan.

    Hope this helps!
