We are going to WDW in Nov. & I understand that the way the Fantasmic dining package works has changed. You no longer get to go in a separate line but have to wait in line with everyone else. My ? is the Fantasmic dining package worth it now or not?

    Hi Olivia,

November is a great time to visit Disney World. Depending on your arrival dates, you may be able to enjoy a number of the amazing holiday decorations and often the weather and crowd levels is perfect.

Yes the Fantasmic package did recently change and you no longer access the theater through a separate entrance but rather the general line. There is still a section of seats that is reserved for those on the package so while you wait with all the guests, you are able to choose your seats from a roped off away that is only available to guests on the package. I have yet to experience Fantasmic with the new changes but understand that the reserved section would then be opened up to general guests just before the show begins.

A few thoughts on this is personally we enjoy the Fantasmic dinner package that is offered at mama Melrose and have always loved the food choices and the amount of food we get for the price. It is still beneficial to have access to reserved seats before the general public as long as you do not arrive to kate and those seats have been opened to all guests. We will still book this package and try it with the changes, just being sure to arrive in ample time to obtain seats before the rope is dropped to the reserved section. I can see that the attraction to the package is diminished by the changes. Disney is always evaluating its decisions and events and hopefully they will notice a need to return to the old system for Fantasmic. It is still a performance that we think should not be missed, and even with the changes the package is an easier way to obtain those limited seats.
