We're going to WDW in Nov of '09 with my brother-in-law and his family. It'll be their first time. Where is the best place to see the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom?

I'm not sure that there is any one 'best' place to watch Wishes.  For me, the most important thing is a good, unobstructed view of Cinderella's Castle.

The show really involves the castle heavily, so being directly in front of the castle is best.  We generally base our exact location on extenuating circumstances.

Sometimes my daughters want a great view of Tinkerbell as she flies from the castle over Tomorrowland, so then we stand to the right of the castle, maybe on the bridge to Tomorrowland, so they can see her up close and personal.  If they're getting tired and we need to get out and on the monorail ASAP, we walk back Main Street USA and watch from just in front of the train station.  If you're not in any hurry to leave you can position yourself near a shop and spend some time collecting souvenirs after the show.  (The Emporium is great for this, but be prepared - it's very crowded!)

My personal favorite spot, if everyone is cooperative and we have the time to spare, is front and center of the castle in the back of the hub area.  It's a good clear view and I find it to be a nice distance away from the castle.  After the show is over I like to linger and take in the sights - the beautiful lighting on the castle, the ambience of the park, the people around me.  It's just a lovely way to end a Disney evening in my opinion.  :)
