We will be in WDW from 9/26-10/3. We are not staying on property. Do we need to worry about avoiding parks that have magic hours or will it not matter at that time of year? Also, is Fantasmic too scary for a 3 year old?

    Hi Laurie,

Personally I would advise you to avoid the parks with extra magic hours (EMH) whatever time of year you visit if you're staying offsite. With thousands of guests staying at more than 20 WDW resorts the parks with EMH's do tend to be much busier so the other parks will generally be quieter. You can view which parks have EMH's under Plan on www.disneyworld.com

All children are different but I know my girls would have been scared watching Fantasmic at the age of 3. The show is quite dark and has some fighting and a scary dragon in it plus it is quite loud. What I suggest you do is have a look at a video of the show on You Tube, this way you'll be able to see if the show will be suitable or not!

    Have a fantastic trip,
