Hi Jean!
Thanks for asking your question about water transportation to us here at planDisney! I'm happy to help you 'navigate' the options you and your family have for your upcoming stay! It's always a great idea to know what might be your choices when it comes to getting to the parks and back at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Jean, if you and your family are staying at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort, you have two options for transport to
Magic Kingdom. There is Disney Bus transportation directly to the park and
Disney water transportation to the park. The buses will begin running 45 minutes prior to park opening and will run up to one hour after park close. There are two water routes that leave from the pier at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. One route goes directly to Magic Kingdom, and the other is a resort water taxi which travels from
Disney's Contemporary Resort to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. At this time, there is no water transportation between Wilderness Lodge and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. If your desire is to visit the Polynesian Village Resort, you can take a water taxi from your resort to Magic Kingdom, and then transfer to the boat which heads to the Polynesian Village Resort.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
Malanie
