Going to WDW in May. I think we are going to stay at the Wilderness Lodge! Is there a certain room/view/floor I should ask for? Would like to be able to see the fireworks at night from MK and the water pageant. Thanks for any advice.

    Hi Jeanine!

You've picked a WONDERFUL resort - its my favorite place to stay EVER!! In fact, its hard to stay anywhere else these days since we've been totally spoiled by the Wilderness Lodge!

Personally, our family prefers to ask for a room on a high floor facing north (remember, room requests are just requests - they aren't guaranteed). From these rooms you can usually see the Contemporary, a tiny amount of the Magic Kingdom and, usually some of the higher fireworks from the park. While these rooms aren't guaranteed to have park views, we've always had luck seeing a glimpse of the park and the fireworks. Typically, these rooms are classified as Standard Rooms.

However, for the best views of the Electrical Water Pageant, you may want to consider a Courtyard view room and request a room near the end of one of the wings. These rooms would give you the best option for viewing the boats at night.

Wherever your room may be, you can also walk down to either the Ferry Dock or to the beach area at night to get views of both the fireworks and Electrical Water Pageant. Be sure to check with the front desk for times on both!

Hope you have a great time at my favorite place! Be sure to let me know if I can tell you any more about the Lodge!
