Going to WDW in May for 5N & 4D once my husband gets back from deployment. I am wanting to make reservations for our sit down dining plan so can you recommend the best ones for kids? We have 3 boys of age 9, 5, & 4 & certain one for certain day

Hi, Ashley!  I first want to thank you for the sacrifice you've all made in allowing your husband to serve our country.

There are so many kid friendly restaurants at Walt Disney World!  I think because you aren't booking a full 180 days out, your best bet may be to choose the restaurants that you really want to go to, and work your theme park schedule around those restaurants.

Disney's Animal Kingdom has a great buffet meal that features some of your favorite characters.  You usually see Donald, Mickey, and Goofy there, and the food allows for even the pickiest eater to find something yummy.  Another great character meal is the Garden Grill at EPCOT.  This meal, served family style, is often served up with Chef Mickey and Chip and Dale.

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary and the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom are also great character meals.  Both are buffets with plenty of options to choose from.

My family loves 50s Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  It's like sitting at Mom's kitchen table in the 50s!  The kids always get a kick out of watching the TV clips, and they may even get a chuckle when the waitress has Dad set the table.

'Ohana at the Polynesian resort is another favorite.  All you can eat skewers of delicious grilled foods are brought to your table, but there meal is broken up by coconut races or hula hoop contests, which are great fun for the kids.

My 11 year old and seven year old just told me to tell you the Sci Fi Dine In is one of their favorites.  You sit in cars, like you would at a drive in movie, and watch trailers as you enjoy some drive in movie favorites.

    I hope that helps!!
