We will be going to WDW, March 7-14 and want to eat at the new T-Rex Rest. in Downtown Disney. When I called to make reservations they said they were not taking any reservations. So what's up? Does Disney not make reservations for T-Rex?

    Hi Kayla

We just dined at the new T-Rex Cafe when we visited in October. The food was okay, the kids enjoyed the numerous choices on the kids menu and the nachos were delicious. We would return but not for the food, for the atmosphere. My three boys loved the gigantic moving dinosaurs and the meteor shower that would run through the restaraunt. The detailing in the glacier room is amazing and would be my suggestion for the room to dine in.

We were unable to make reservations at the time we were there but the wait was minimal as it is a pretty large place. At that time, they were hoping to start taking reservations sometime in early 2009 so it is possible that the system was not in place when you called. I would suggest checking their website trexcafe.com or calling the restaraunt directly at 407-828-TREX to inquire about reservations during your visit. If you are unable to make reservations, I would suggest arriving early for lunch or at an off time to help minimize the wait but there is plenty to look at while you wait. I am sure you will enjoy the experience.
